Dr Yew-Lim Cheng graduated from medicine at The University of Queensland. Following a rewarding stint in Critical Care, Radiation Oncology and Palliative Care medicine at Liverpool Hospital and St George Hospital, he decided that becoming a GP is the best way forward in providing ongoing quality care to his patients.

Dr Cheng is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, with a keen interest in pediatrics, aged care and palliative care. His focus is to achieve positive outcomes for all his patients through preventive healthcare.

Outside of work, Dr Cheng enjoys cooking, swimming, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his young family.

Dr Neelam Singh

General Practitioner

Dr Neelam Singh is a General Practitioner and has been practicing medicine for over 15 years. Dr Neelam has achieved her clinical experience by working in General Practice and Hospital based medicine in India and Australia. She has obtained her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) in 2002 and Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2007 from India. Dr Singh gained hospital based experience from Prince of Wales, Liverpool, Blacktown, St Vincent’s and Ryde hospitals.

Dr Neelam Singh is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her special interests include women’s health, aged care, sexual & reproductive health, mental health, endocrinology, cardiology and preventive health.

Dr Neelam offer termination of pregnancy consultations and is a authorised prescriber of tablets.

Dr Neelam Singh is passionate about health outcomes of the patients. Her hobbies includes fitness related activities, running, watching Bollywood movies. She loves cooking and spending time with her family.

Dr Ana Singer

General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Ana Singer is a graduate of the University of NSW and has a postgraduate diploma in Child Health from Sydney University. She is the founding coordinator of the South Eastern Sydney Division of General Practice, a federal government initiative promoting better health outcomes for the local community.

Prior to joining Botany Road Doctors, Dr Singer ran an accredited general practice which participated in the UNSW undergraduate teaching program, and has mentored final year students for many years.  Dr Singer enjoys a strong relationship with patients, work colleagues and students.

Her medical interests and expertise embrace paediatrics, women’s health, mental health, aged and complex care.  Dr Singer has been a long time participant in the Local Area Health Disability Services and Mental Health Program as well as the Royal Hospital for Women’s Antenatal Shared Care Program.

Dr Singer is also fluent in Serbian and Croatian.

 

Dr Gabriel Arokiasamy

General Practitioner

Dr Gabriel graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013 and has worked in Ipswich General Hospital. He started working as a GP in Brisbane. Dr Gabriel has recently moved to Sydney. He obtained his RACGP Fellowship in 2019 and enjoys all aspects of General Practice. He has a special interest in Travel Medicine, Men's Health, Preventative Health, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Diabetes Care. Dr Gabriel also enjoys performing minor surgical procedures. He provides a comfortable, and friendly environment for all of his patients.

He was raised in Malaysia, and has been in Australia since 2006, completing all his higher education in the University of Queensland. He speaks English and Malay (Bahasa Malaysia). In his spare time he enjoys playing badminton, cooking and spending time with his family.

 

Dr Komal Prabhu

General Practitioner

Dr. Komal Prabhu is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has trained in several hospitals in Western Sydney and decided to become a GP as she enjoys being able to provide continuity of care for patients in the community.

She enjoys all aspects of general practice. She strongly believes prevention is better than cure which has led to her interest in preventative health and chronic disease management. Her other interests include mental health, weight loss management and minor surgery. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her friends and family.

 

Dr Pedro Valente

Dr Valente is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery. He has also completed a Master of Surgery.

He has a strong interest in skin cancer medicine, aesthetic medicine, minor surgeries, men’s health, and supporting patients with claims for workers’ compensation. Dr Valente’s focus is the highest care of his patients. He is a strong advocate that prevention is better than a cure and always puts the best course of treatment for his patients forward that enables positive outcomes.

Dr Valente can speak fluent Portuguese and conversational Spanish. Outside of work he enjoys the gym, his martial arts and reading.

 

Dr Yalda Keenan

General Practitioner

BSc (iBSc), MBBS, MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr Yal is an experienced General Practitioner who qualified in London, United Kingdom in 2004. She was a GP partner in London for 10 years and looked after a practice population of 8000 patients. Most recently she has worked as a GP in Canberra, ACT and has now relocated to NSW. Dr Yal enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in Mental Health and Women Health. She has completed the Focussed Psychological Strategies Skills Training and has extended her mental health work to include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) sessions with patients.

Dr Yal is passionate about medical education and has supervised GP trainees and medical students. She also has management experience and was previously elected as a clinical member of the Governing Body of the NHS Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) for Westminster, London.

In her spare time, Dr Yal loves to get up and go for a run or long hike.

Dr Andrew Sun

Dr Sun is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and a graduate of University of Sydney, University of NSW, and University of Queensland. He completed his medical degree and junior doctor training across 13 hospitals and clinics in Queensland and the Northern Territory, before moving to the cooler NSW South Coast for specialist training in General Practice. He has special interests in Acne & Skin care, DVA & Veterans Health, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Preventive Health and Checks, Occupational Health & Safety, Healthy Aging and Longevity Medicine.

Dr Sun is a Medical Officer in the Australian Army Reserves, and is always keen to advocate for veterans. He is currently studying medical acupuncture, having come from a lineage of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr Sun is also intrigued by the complementary roles of animal, music, and games as therapy and in maintenance of wellness, and how these can be applied.

Outside of work Dr Sun enjoys archery, kayaking, modelling, as well as the occasional shut-in session playing strategy and roleplaying computer games with his fiancée.

Dr Satnam Jaswal

Dr. Jaswal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He graduated from University of Queensland in 2016, and completed his internship and two years of residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Redcliffe Hospital where he gained experience in critical care, pain management, general medicine, and rural medicine prior to moving to NSW for GP training.

He completed his GP training in regional NSW in Jervis Bay, and Kiama. He enjoys all aspects of general practice including skin cancer management, minor procedures, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and aged care. He has a special interest in skin cancer management, and has completed the professional certificate of skin cancer surgery. He intends to complete further training to further enhance his skills in surgical management of skin cancer. Dr Jaswal remains dedicated to ensuring his clinical and practical skills remains up to date. Dr Jaswal is fluent in Punjabi and basic Hindi. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Sydney’s best food spots, spending time with his family and friends and supporting his NHL team, the Edmonton Oilers.

Dr Sarat Cheruvu

Cardiologist

Availability: Wednesday (Once a fortnight)

Dr Sarat Cheruvu is an Australian-trained Cardiologist with special interests in advanced cardiac imaging, hereditary and genetic cardiomyopathies and the assessment of acute chest pain syndromes.

Dr Cheruvu graduated from the University of NSW with both academic and research honours, completing his thesis in the physiology of the renin-angiotensin system. He completing his physician’s training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney; following which he completed his advanced training in Cardiology in the Central Coast/Royal North Shore Network. He subsequently completed a two-year post graduate fellowship at the prestigious Advanced Cardiac Imaging Centre in St Vincent’s Hospital focusing on cardiac CT, cardiac MRI and interventional transesophageal echocardiography.

Dr Cheruvu has a strong commitment to teaching having founded educational colleges to help students gain entrance to medicine as well as pass the physician’s training exam. He has previously worked as an associate lecturer for both University of NSW and Western Sydney University.

As a general cardiologist, Dr Cheruvu sees patients with a wide range of cardiac diseases including ischaemic heart disease, arrhythmias and heart failure with specific expertise in the application of advanced cardiac imaging for the assessment of cardiovascular disease.

 

Dr Bilyana Konstantinova

Geriatrician

Availability: Saturday (Once a month)

Dr. Bilyana Konstantinova completed her basic physicians training at the University teaching hospital, Sofia, Bulgaria, before migrating to Australia. She started her career at the Prince of Wales hospital, completed her advance training at St. George and Sutherland hospitals, before obtaining her FRACP. Dr. Konstantinova worked as a head of the department of geriatric medicine at Campbelltown and Camden hospitals. Also, Head of Department Hospital in the Home program, CCLHD while she continued to provide geriatric services for inpatients and outpatients in Gosford hospital. She is currently working as a Staff Specialist and senior geriatrician in Gosford hospital, CCLHD.

She is also passionate about teaching and education and she holds a Senior Lecturer appointment at the School of Medicine, University of Newcastle. In 2014, she started her private consulting rooms in the Campbelltown private hospital and including visiting nursing homes and supporting several Mid North Coast GP centres. Dr. Konstantinova lives in Roseberry with her family and is passionate about supporting her local community by spending some time volunteering and presenting at different forums with focus on Ageing, Falls, dementia syndromes and healthy ageing.

 

Dr Daniel Cohen

Orthopaedic Surgeon, FRACS (Orth), FAORTHA, M.B.B.S (USyd), MSc. (Phys.), BSc. (Anat)

Dr. Daniel Cohen is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialization in hip, knee and trauma surgery. Dr. Cohen graduated from the University of Sydney School of Medicine and went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgical Training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He then completed a further 12 months of subspecialist training in primary (first time) and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacement at the prestigious St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. Under internationally renowned specialists he learned how to manage the most complex joint replacement operations and continues to do so today. On return to Australia, Daniel undertook further subspecialist training in Robotic Hip and Knee Replacement surgery under industry leaders in robotic joint replacement in Australia.

Practice Philosophy

With a commitment to excellence in surgical practice and modernized patient care, Daniel believes in a patient-centred, shared decision-making practice model where patients are empowered to contribute to their own management and patient journey. Daniel embraces the use of latest evidence-based technology in his surgical practice. His robotic fellowship helped to round out his arthroplasty skills and bridged the traditional methods of joint replacement with contemporary techniques. Daniel believes in a personalized approach to joint replacement surgery, utilising a unique plan for each patient based on each individual’s anatomy.

Research and Teaching

Daniel has previously completed a Masters of Science and has published a number of original scientific works in international peer-reviewed medical journals. He has presented his research on improving joint replacement care at national and international specialty conferences and is a sought-after presenter. Daniel holds academic appointments with the University of New South Wales teaching medical students and all levels of doctors in training.

Dr Tanushree Rao

Gynecologist And Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon

Dr. Tanushree Rao ( MBBS,MS,MICOG, MRCOG[UK],FRANZCOG ) is a board certified Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon. She currently works as a O&G Specialist at Liverpool Hospital, Bowral hospital, Sydney South West Private Hospital and Campbelltown Private Hospital.

She has developed a strong interest in Minimally invasive and Advanced Laparoscopic procedures, such as Total Laparoscopic hysterectomy, Laparoscopic myomectomies, Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomies, Vaginal hysterectomy, Pelvic floor repairs . She has a special interest in treating Endometriosis.

She has undergone the prestigious AGES (Advanced Gynaecology Endoscopic Surgery) training programme in Sydney and is a Certified advanced Laparoscopy surgeon. During her AGES fellowship, she was also awarded the Outstanding Trainee Presentation—the Platinum Laparoscope Award—for one of her papers. She has also worked at a number of other institutions, earning a postgraduate degree in India, the MRCOG in the United Kingdom, and the FRANZCOG in Australia.

Currently, minimally invasive surgery is the standard of care for women. In this sense, laparoscopy and robotic surgery are leading the way. Not only has evidence-based medicine demonstrated its benefits for patients in terms of faster recovery, less pain, and less blood loss, but it is also advantageous for surgeons in terms of enhanced magnification of the surgical field, allowing us to make accurate cuts.

She often uses a method called “shared decision-making” with the woman to help her figure out the best way to help her and the best treatment plan. The goal is for each woman to feel heard and to have complete autonomy over the decision-making process.

 

Dr Xiaoqian Wang-Gilchrist

Obstetrician and Fertility Specialist

Dr Wang-Gilchrist is a Sydney Fertility Specialist, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has experience diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions related to women’s reproductive health.

She completed her obstetrics and gynaecology specialist training within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including two years of fertility training with IVF Australia. Dr Wang-Gilchrist holds three separate Master Degrees in the areas of embryology, infertility and reproductive care. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). 

Dr Wang-Gilchrist has a scientific research background in reproductive biology and reproductive medicine, and has undertaken noteworthy research roles nationally and abroad. She worked for four years as a laboratory and clinical researcher in reproductive medicine at the University of Adelaide. She has published several peer-reviewed international scientific papers in reproductive medicine, and has completed a dedicated, sub-specialised fertility training with IVF Australia at St George Hospital, Kogarah, NSW.

She adopts the latest evidence-based treatments into her clinical practice. Dr Wang-Gilchrist is looking forward to helping her patients achieve their dream of having a baby through an individualised approach, utilising her clinical and academic expertise. In addition, She has particular interests in obstetric care and management of general gynaecological conditions such as fibroid, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

Milo Crocchini

Psychologist

Milo has been practicing as psychologist for 16 years in Italy and Australia. Milo uses different approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic and Emotional Focused therapy (EFT), frameworks that consider the Mind-Body connection and looks at ways of increasing overall wellbeing and resilience of his clients. Milo is a multi-lingual practitioner (English, Italian and Spanish) with sound experience engaging across multicultural communities (CALD).

Milo received extensive postgraduate training in Australia and is a Psychology Board of Australia and AHPRA registered psychologist. He provides evidence-based psychological services, which are person-centred and trauma-informed. He incorporates Mindfulness, Autogenic Training and Attachment based techniques as part of his treatment plans, which are tailored to the individual needs.

James have worked in private practices across Sydney and is an lifelong basketball fanatic and continue to represent the Sutherland Sharks.

Anwar Almutawah

Anwar graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Newcastle. Helping people to achieve optimum recovery and improve their physical function is her main career goal. She has a strong interest in treating people with musculoskeletal injuries and a compassionate approach to improving function in those with chronic pain. Anwar uses an evidence-based approach with her treatment and is always on the lookout for new ways to better manage and prevent injuries.

Campbell Waldron-Smith

Campbell completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Orange. He was fortunate to travel across the country for placements with a highlight being working within the Intensive Care Unit in the Mildura Public Hospital. Growing up in Canberra he played a variety of sports, his favourites being Rugby Union and Rowing.

Campbell enjoys treating a variety of injuries, but has special interests in ankle sprains, lower back injuries and gym injuries.

Sonya is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Wollongong. She has experience in managing a range of areas in nutrition such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular health, coeliac disease, IBS and food intolerance. She aims to provide individualised care plan to ensure the best outcomes for my patients. While with us, Sonya will be running cooking classes to help you come up with the best dishes that will be suitable for your health.

Yuru finished her Bachelor of Nursing from University of Technology Sydney in 2019. She has also completed a Master of Public Health and specialised in communicable disease control from University of Sydney in 2021. In addition, she has gained knowledge about chronic diseases prevention during her master’s degree in public health.

Yuru is passionate about patient centre care and educating patients about healthy life style. In her spare time, she like to watch movies and take a walk by the beach with friends.

Yuru can speak fluent Mandarin.

She strives to bring warmth and joy to everyone she meets and her kind hearted nature ensures that everyone around her is comfortable and cared for. Nikolina loves to cook and spend time with her family. She also enjoys pilates and travelling.

Rakesh has gained healthcare business management experience through working with group practices. He started a boutique consulting company www.auhealthcareconsultancy.com.au that now proudly has clinic clients looking after their day to day business challenges and helping them keep up to date with industry standards. He also has experience in clinic acquisition, new clinic set up, recruiting, training, marketing, IT, eCommerce and business development. 

Rakesh strongly believes in a team approach, technology advancement, healthcare outcomes and holistic care. Rakesh in his spare time likes to spend time with family, playing cricket, photography, travelling and watching movies.

With a background in reception work, consultancy and client services, she is experienced in building long lasting customer relationships with people from all walks of life. Beyond her experience, Misty's intrinsic interest in helping others is what truly drives her work ethos as a customer advocate.

In addition to her role at Botany Road Doctors, she is completing her Bachelor’s degree in Design (Visual Communications). During her spare time, Misty enjoys drawing, listening to music, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Terrie have attained 15 years' experience in the education system, where her primary roles involved extensive, close collaborations with teachers, administration staff and the hiring agencies. Throughout her time in the education system, Terrie enjoyed many great achievements towards reshaping many of the out dated processes and contributed inputs into modernising our in-house systems.

Terrie’s strong interpersonal and communications skills has enabled to form many great friendships along the way with everyone that dealt with her. She have always been a key and team player in achieving great results for the business at hand.

For those who know Terrie will attest to as easy-going, pleasant nature and keenness to assist. Terrie enjoys the simple things in life involving the reading of a good book, watching movies, attending the gym, line dancing classes and linking up with family and friends over a BBQ.
