Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist

Dr Gokul Tamilarasan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, providing service in the Camperdown area.

Dr Tamilarasan consults from Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and has honorary clinical and research roles at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) and Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH). Gokul trained as a junior medical officer and physician trainee at RPAH, before completing his Gastroenterology advanced training at RPAH and CRGH. Dr Tamilarasan then travelled to London to commence an international clinical research fellowship at the world-renowned Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, focusing on inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). He is currently continuing his research in IBD as a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney.

Dr Tamilarasan prides himself on being extremely personable. He enjoys meeting and working with people and is known for his clear communication style and great listening skills.
